Ronnie Fewkes

November 27th, 1946 – August 28th, 2015

Ronnie E. Fewkes, age 68 of Table Grove, IL, passed away at 11:50 pm on Friday, August 28, 2015 at his home. He was born on November 27, 1946 in Table Grove, the son of Kelly and Marjorie Mae (Abernathy) Fewkes.

He is survived by his three daughters, Rhonda McClure of Rushville, IL, Becky Fewkes of Table Grove, IL, and Robin Fewkes of Galesburg, IL, his four grandchildren, Mickayla McGovern, Alexandria McClure, Haley Fewkes, and Austin Fewkes, two great-granddaughters Maddison and Emma McGovern, two sisters, Judy Goulding of Bushnell, IL and Delores Maxson of Table Grove, and Jay Paul Fewkes of Table Grove.

Ronnie was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Fewkes and Joe Kelly Fewkes.

He was an Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War.

Ronnie was manager of Bader and Company grain elevators. He also worked at Midwest Elevator in Macomb, road construction, and was an over the road trucker, driving for WW Transport of West Burlington, IA.

He was a member of the Table Grove American Legion and the Macomb, VFW.

He enjoyed playing and coaching softball and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt. He also enjoyed playing the scratch off lottery games.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in the Harris Cemetery in Table Grove.
