Edward "Bud" Trone

May 4th, 1929 – November 19th, 2015

Edward "Bud" Trone, 86, of Browning, passed way at 6:57 pm on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at his daughters home in Quincy. He was born on May 4, 1929 in Browning Township, Schuyler County, the son of William Guy and Beulah Susan (Venters) Trone. Bud married Evelyn Stambaugh on November 13, 1948 in Rushville. She preceded him in death on August 12, 2011.

He is also preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Conlee and daughter-in-law, Ruth Trone.

Survivors include his two daughters, Cheryl (and Marvin) Hoebing of Quincy and Sally Bair of Astoria, four sons, Ronnie Trone of Browning, Stephen Trone of Browning, Randall Trone of Browning and Bernard “Ace” (and Vicki) Trone of Browning, 11 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and his sister, Betty (and Marlin) Stewart-Livers of Canton, IL

Bud was a welder for the Peabody Coal Company at Pleasant View, IL. He also farmed.

He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local 9926, Bader Christian Church, and a board member of the Mt. Zion School Reunion Organization. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bud never met a stranger, he was a people person and he loved his grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Matt Haberman will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:30 am to 1 pm on Monday, November 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Bader Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Zion Reunion Organization or Astoria Fire & Rescue Squad.
