Gerald L. Button

May 8th, 1966 – May 3rd, 2016

Gerald L. Button, 49, of Ipava, passed away at 3:38 am on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born on May 8, 1966 in Peoria, the son of Donald and Judith (Hodgkins) Button Jr.

Survivors include his parents, Donald and Judith Button Jr. of Ipava, daughter, Ashley (and Nick) Kouris of Commerce City, CO, son, Gerald Button Jr. of Commerce City, CO, granddaughter, Savannah Button, 2 brothers, Donald (and Terry) Button III of Fort Lupton, CO and Corey (and Tammie Pohl) Button of Dacono, CO, 3 nephews, 2 nieces and his dog, Sophie.

Gerald worked as a mechanic before becoming a truck driver for Dairy Farmers of America. He was also a sheet medal specialist in the Air Force. Gerald was a bike and car enthusiast.

Services will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. A visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. Cremation rites will be take place after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gerald L. Button Memorial Fund in care of the Ipava Sate Bank.
