Walter C. Raudabaugh

January 19th, 1947 – January 11th, 2017

Walter C. Raudabaugh, Jr., 69, of Vermont, passed away at 7:30 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at his home. He was born on January 19, 1947 in Macomb, the son of Walter and Betty (Crayden) Raudabaugh Sr. Walter married Donna Umphryes on February 19, 1992 in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are his 2 sons, Kelly Raudabaugh and Andrew Kolesar, both of Vermont, 3 sisters, Cheryl Reimolds of Vermont, Michelle Reimolds of Bushnell and Kimberley (and Robert) Stickler of Bushnell and his brother, Ronnie Raudabaugh of Vermont.

Walter was a farmhand for several different farmers. He also worked at Vermont Hardware, the Village of Vermont, the Vermont Township, the Bushnell Foundry and the Vermont Foundry. While living out west, Walter was a machine operator and also worked for the Willwood Irrigation District in Powell, Wyoming.

Walter was a proud lifetime member of the NRA. He loved to hunt, fish, bird watch, gardening, the outdoors in general and spending time with his friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Memorials may be made to the McDonough District Hospice.
