Jack had a commanding presence and influence on the numerous kids who played ball. He was a memorable and fair umpire who cared about teaching the game to young people. I'll never forget him saying, "He got cha!" He will be missed. Condolences to the family and to the players in the youth league who missed an opportunity to have him umpire.
