Randy Weber

August 26th, 1951 – January 30th, 2015

Randy Weber, age 63, of Browning, IL, passed away at 6:54 pm on Friday, January 30, 2015 at his home. He was born on August 26, 1951 in Canton, IL, the son of Berdette and Edith (Shaw) Weber. Randy married Priscilla Shilling on September 30, 1972 in Havana, IL. She survives.

Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Weber of Browning, IL, daughter, Rochelle (and Mike) Briney of Browning, IL, son, Chad (and Angela Nixon) Weber of Rushville, IL, five grandchildren Lindsay Klitz, Matthew Weber, Madeline Weber, Maggie Nixon, and Emma Weber, one great-granddaughter, Elise Shawgo, his brother, Gary (and Pat) Weber of Havana, IL and sister, Patty (and Denny) Burmaster of Bloomington, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Randy served in the US Army Reserves from 1969 to 1973. He worked as a tug boat pilot for Headwater, retiring in the fall of 2014.

Randy graduated from Havana High School in 1969. He was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed music, playing the drums and harmonica in the band “Iron Railroad”. He loved blues music. Randy collected music albums along with being an avid gun collector and loved classic cars. He adored his cat Pearl. He also enjoyed camping, the outdoors, going with friends to Current River and sitting around the campfire.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Bluff City Cemetery in Bluff City, IL. Pastor Doug Krukewitt will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 11 am to 12 noon on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at funeral home in Astoria, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to donors choice.
